Advantages of wearing the Hijab

  • people will look at you in a better way and respect you much more
  • Hijab can protect you from sun exposure
  • It will strengthen your Iman. Some think your Iman has to be strong in order for you to wear the hijab but to be honest it works the other way round as wearing the hijab will make you a better person. Once you start wearing it, you will begin to see little changes in your personality and hopefully change for the better.
  • It shows people that you are a muslim and you are proud to be one
  • You have less chance of damaging your hair
  • It can guide you to act like a good person even if you have had a bad past. Automatically, as people look at you in a different way, you're going to have some sort of good pressure to improve yourself and act like a good person. Basically wearing the hijab will encourage and improve your behaviour.
  • Hijab is a part of being modest and wearing the hijab will make you feel more modest.
  • Although it is a piece of cloth, it can make a big difference to your life.
  • You can still look good when wearing the hijab. I know a lot of young people my age who want to look pretty, live their life, do things and decide to wear it when they are older but I promise you, when you wear the hijab you can still do all those things. There are some boundaries such as not wearing skin tight jeans but it will take time to eventually get used to it.
  • You can do whatever and be anything you want to be still. I have so many plans for the future, career wise. However I do think about it and if you know you can't do something whilst wearing the hijab then should you be doing it anyway? The hijab shouldn't stop you from doing anything halal. Moreover, if a job doesn't allow you work their because of your clothing then is it worth working there?
  • You will feel warm and hopefully not hot. It depends how you wear your hijab really. But I always feel cosy whilst wearing my scarf.
  • You can still be stylish
  • You will be rewarded
