Wearing
the hijab is a huge commitment, but one of the most rewarding. It can
be easy for some people but not for all. I started to wear the hijab
properly at the age of 13 and that is when I understood the true
meaning of it. Believe me, it took some time.
Nowadays,
living in the west is becoming quite hard to find the want to
wear hijab. If you are truly devoted to turn over a new leaf and
become more modest then read on to see a few tips I put together to
help you.
- First of all don't keep telling your self you aren't ready to wear the hijab. Don't be unsure of yourself because you are ready. You are always ready. You're never going to be if you think your not and it's about time you prove shaitan wrong.
- Know that your personality is way more important than your appearance. The hijab is their to guard your attractiveness and makes it possible for people to see the beauty in your personality, not based on how you look. The point of hijab is to cover your physical beauty, but that does not mean you still can’t feel beautiful.
- Don’t let anyone discourage you. Ignore them because hijab is between you and Allah. If you take hijab seriously then it will make you secure and close to Allah. Don’t let anyone get in the way of your connection with Allah.
- Where the hijab for the correct reason. Learn about it and know the true meaning behind it and hopefully it will be easy for you to actually fall in love with it.
- Once you wear it, don't give up and keep on practicing. Constantly wear it until you’re comfortable with it. Take it a step at a time then eventually you will have your own style and link with it.
- Get inspired by others who wear it correctly and you can be an example too
- Be
happy to wear it. Enjoy it. Love it.
You
won’t know until you give it a try. Only Allah can judge so..
